Does anyone have any screenshots of Shotgun in action?  Is it Windows based?  (EDIT-I realize it is Windows now...Saw the gallery on your site)  Does it have integrated GPS?  And if so, what does it use (Streets and Trips, Google Earth, etc)?  I have heard that the new Garmin Mobile PC software (due out this month) is supposed to be great.  Could that be worked in as the GPS Engine?

I'm just so damn curious....anything you can give me to look at would be appreciated.

Thanks...

Sorry for the delay Chooch, here's a few pics of Shotgun! in action. Shotgun! is essentially a windows based front end which is used to easily control all of your audio, video, internet and navigation needs within your car. Currently we use iGuidance as our navigation base.

PS. I am the author of Shotgun! and I am constantly adding new features so if you would like to see something please let me know.

Sweet.  That looks great.  How customizable (if any) is the appearance of the front end?  Do you have the system set up so the existing controls in your car work with the PC (those buttons that I see in the pic)...If so, can this work with any car's controls?

One feature that I would like to brainstorm on (because I don't know if it is possible) is the ability to read live data from the OBD II system.  For instance I would really like a virtual boost gauge for my 2008 GTI, since the car comes from the factory with a turbo, but for some reason without a boost gauge.  I know the OBD II can output the proper information, but I have no idea how to properly display it in a "gauge" format.

I plan on stopping by your shop one of these days to check out your guy's systems live, but right now I am still in the planning stages....hell I don't even have the car yet....it's being made as we speak.

Thanks for the reply and the pics btw...

O yeah....how about Bluetooth?  Have you ever managed to integrate that into the system?  It is one of the main reasons why I am thinking of getting a CarPC, as VW does not offer Bluetooth in the US spec GTI's.

The buttons can be used to control the pc, however do to their location (being so close to the screen) I currently have them disabled.

A boost gauge is a definite possibility and is something I'm considering in a future release.

Bluetooth is actually in the works and should be ready soon, we're still testing it to ensure stability and compatibility with a range of phones.

Thanks for your comments.
